What's changing

MK.IO is now available for purchase on AWS Marketplace.

With MK.IO’s multi-subscription model, you can create multiple subscriptions across different cloud marketplaces and use them to manage Projects, each running its own workload.

Who is impacted

This is relevant for AWS customers and anyone looking to diversify their cloud infrastructure.

Why it matters

You may choose your cloud for cost, governance, operational simplicity, or uniformity. MK.IO supports that flexibility with a cloud-neutral platform that delivers the same capabilities across every major cloud provider.

Here’s how MK.IO on AWS can help you:

Data colocation: Run your media processing workloads close to your content stored in AWS S3.
Enterprise commitment: Use your AWS enterprise agreement to cover your MK.IO usage.

Additional details

Choosing MK.IO on AWS doesn’t limit your ability to use other clouds.

If you're an existing customer, this is simply an additional pay-as-you-go subscription that gives you access to MK.IO regions running on AWS. You can subscribe in AWS and other clouds at the same time, all managed through the MK.IO dashboard.

Each subscription becomes a Payment Method in MK.IO.
You can create as many Projects as needed within each subscription.
Control access using MK.IO’s role-based access control (RBAC).
Project locations are determined by your available Payment Methods and Projects are assigned to the default Payment Method for the cloud they run in.
To run resources across multiple clouds, configure subscriptions in each marketplace. Each one will be visible in your MK.IO dashboard.
Storage: You must integrate with S3 storage.
CDN: Currently, only bring-your-own CDN is supported. If you don't have one, you can point users directly to your origin or contact us for help. A one-click CloudFront integration is coming soon.
AI services: When using AI on AWS, the underlying capability may come from a third party. All AI usage is governed by our Data Privacy Agreement.

When you subscribe via AWS Marketplace, you gain access to new MK.IO locations in westeu1 and eastus2. These correspond to AWS-hosted services in those regions.

When subscribing through AWS Marketplace:

Billing is pay-as-you-go
There are no activation or setup fees
You pay only for what you use.
