Video-on-Demand (VOD) services are essential for delivering content that is accessible on your viewers' own schedules. MK.IO's transformation features provide the tools to tailor and optimize your VOD content, ensuring a high-quality, personalized viewing experience. Here's how to configure VOD transformations in MK.IO.

Create transform for video processing

1. Log in to MK.IO and select a subscription.
2. From the left-hand side menu, navigate to Video Processing, then go to the Transforms tab.
3. Start a new transform using the Create Transform button. You’ll be prompted to specify the details of this transform.
4. Give your transform a name (required) and write a brief event description (optional).
5. Select the transform type in the list. Three types of transforms are available in MK.IO, Encoding transform, AI transform, and Asset conversion transform.
6. For Encoding and Asset conversion, select the desired preset from the drop-down list. For AI transform, select the AI pipeline from the drop-down list then specify the language of the original audio track, for example en-US for English (United States).
7. Click Submit to confirm the creation of the transform.

There are more transform types existing in MK.IO but they are only available through MK.IO API.

Executing the transformation

Once the transform is created, you can create a job and execute the transformation on the selected asset.
